V-NECK CUFF TOP PATTERN

A bit disappointed even though I love TAL

First, the good things: The pattern is well drafted, and the instructions are clear and helpful. The sizing is correct. These are all good features of Assembly Line patterns and why I love this brand. The neck facing created a beautiful, crisp V-neck. I love the seams in the center back and center front, which give it more interest than if you cut on the fold. Now for the disappointment: I sewed the blouse and it looks great. But when I wore it, it constantly pulled to the back, and the dolman sleeves were bunchy and uncomfortable. There was plenty of ease in the pattern, so it wasn’t that it was tight. At least on my body, these very long sleeves don’t work, and a better option would be a set sleeve.

Elegant top, easy sew!

Came together very easily. Instructions were clear and complete. The top used if super cute. At 5’10” and made a size M in a lovely black wool crepe. I normally have to do broad shoulder, sleeve length, and bodice length adjustment for top patterns but this top required no adjustments. I’d say the top is definitely roomy. Even though I don’t like to tuck,I think this top looks better tucked on me. A winner!

Really clear pattern instructions a nice easy sew - I love the clean minimalist lines for this pattern I will certainly use it again.
