Last Head set for the Trek 8.1 DS
The old Trek DS vintage 2013 needed a headset upgrade to relieve the bike of excess weight from an old low end steel cup and caged bearing headset. Don't get me wrong caged bearings are still awesome and so is steel depending on the application. For the Trek DS something lighter and sealed bearing was in order. The 40 Series ZS is perfect and east to install.

This headset enabled me to install a front suspension fork on a Trek Verve Plus and make it a hardtail! Thanks to Cane Creek…great products, great service!
