R8

Finally caved into getting a radar detector. So far, it’s been working great for me. I’ve set it to inform/warn me of any type of signal from 2500 feet away. Helps especially when speed cameras are in the area and I’m going a bit over speed limit. Also, it learns to auto mute alerts through its GPS feature. So far, I’ve got no complaints. Awesome product.

2nd Uniden R8

Grabbed my second and what will be last R8 since they are being discontinued! While the R8W with WiFi would have been nice I don’t mind taking both R8s out for updates every so often. These are great radar detectors that are capable of KA band detections at well over a mile in the right conditions. While the Uniden R series of detectors isn’t cheap, if you’ve ever had to deal with a serious speeding ticket, even $800 isn’t crazy to avoid all the BS!

A very sensitive radar detector. I have the R7 before, but this is better equip for us, false alarms, and things like that. I really think that people would like this better than the R7.
