Not for kids or on the go

Initially I loved this water bottle for my daughter and she loved that she could personalize it since this isn't an option for most of the Summit line. But in 4 weeks of using it for school, she's already had 2 accidents with it. The lock feature easily slides to unlock when inside of a bag (which is what happened in her backpack) and it spilled everywhere. Unless the lid is fully clicked closed and secure you can assume water is going to POUR out of it. It may be an unfair review as this bottle is not advertised as leak proof, but with the limited customizable options I was willing to try this one. But now I will now have to get her a different water bottle for the remainder of the year. I was also considering ordering a second bottle from this line for myself because of the contour straw design, but seeing how her backpack was left, I cannot risk that happening to my work laptop so I will have to consider a different option.

I wanted to love it

And I love the actual drinking part, and the loop handle. However, it gets banged up easily in the dishwasher, and even when locked it has opened in my bag and wet my belongings. I’ll make sure to keep it upright and hand wash.
