The material, color options, laser cutting, hood design and modularity is well thought and suited for multiple use cases, civ or mil. Light weight, fast drying, and I cannot rip this stuff, I tried. Yes, it's expensive, BUT, I could not put the same kit together with equal material quality for less; it's turn-key and will last for a long, long time.
