Utopia 2022

I've found the Focal Utopia 2022 very enjoyable. I can wear them quite some time before any physical fatigue from the weight, though a 5-10 minute break helps after a few hours as the edges of my ears get a bit tired. As for sound, I've found nothing to complain about yet or anything unusual. Coming from HD800s, the treble is a bit less aggressive and perhaps offers a better long term balance across the spectrum. Hopefully that doesn't mean giving up some of the fun dynamic nature of the HD800s; I'll need more time to really suss that out. The weight difference is a bit of an adjustment for me, but there's no free lunch. They seem to be happy with the amplification in my dac (Lotoo Mjolnir) whereas the HD800s seems to want more power. The build quality is simply the best I've ever encountered. I'd prefer a cloth cable but appreciate the rubberized options provided with the unit. Very pleased overall, this is a permanent addition to my collection.

Absolutely amazing headphones. Coming from Audeze LCD-3 and ZMF Verite Closed, these are more resolving and have significantly more punchiness and energy without being too fatiguing. It’s not often that a headphones provides superior detail while also maintaining musicality and avoiding a sound that is too bright or anemic, but these accomplish just that! 10/10

Great experience with the order process and my Utopia's were delivered AHEAD of schedule. I also appreciate all the videos the team puts out. They provide lots of education and evaluation--truly helpful.
