The Freewrite has given me creative freedom

I was hesitant of making the leap of purchase, but boy, do I not regret buying this. I actually wish I got this sooner. I write a lot, and I feel that at times I get distracted by computers, notifications or really just technology. It is one thing to write on a blank word document on a computer, because for me, I still had the intrusive thought of checking email or social media. Getting a freewrite allows for me creative freedom. I have gotten alot of work done and it just gives me flexibility that I wish I had sooner in my line of work. An incredible device and experience.

Freedom from distractions, a well-made solid tool of the trade

I was hesitant to invest in a Smart Typewriter, thinking about it endlessly, and giving due consideration to all the alternatives. Finally, and humbly, I realized it was the only thing that would ever free me from YouTube and email distractions. Writing requires isolation, quiet, and the freedom to ponder without interruption. The Smart Typewriter does that. It is a solid device that feels like quality. I can use it anywhere, indoors or out — largely at home, but I can take it with me in many situations. It sits comfortably on your knees if you want, which means you can be sitting anywhere. The keyboard provides a delightful chunk chunk chunk and seems to fit my typing style perfectly, without being particularly noisy. And the illuminated e-ink screen is a delight that cheers me up every time I turn it on. It sends my drafts automatically and faithfully to my MacBook, automatically — and the backup to Dropbox is automatic as well. The work, putting in the time, is up to me.

Best product ever! The clicky keys make me want to write more and more. Before I know it, I’ve written 4,000 words.
