Absolutely fantastic reel! Smooth and the drag is amazing! I only wish Hatch would make them line weight specific…i own three of them for 5, 6 and 7 weight rods.

The first fly reel I purchased on my own was a Hatch Gen 1. That was just under ten years ago. The Hatch Icon Reel is phenomenal. It is light, durable, and has a great aesthetic to it. Invest in yourself and your fly fishing, grab one from Fin and Fire.
