Not the same :(
The changed the thickness of the metal so the clips aren‘t as good anymore. The design is still great, I‘ve tried to bend mine to fit better. The metal isn’t even cheap it‘s just the wrong size. I personally prefer the old size (the metal feel softer??? i know that‘s arbitrary tho do don‘t quote me) if you changed the design (angle of the pieces) this metal would be great it‘s just a small mismatch that makes them harder to use.

First Lippman disappointment
I love D. Lippman products but these clippers were a big disappointment. Very flimsy and do not clip well.
