Nice Grinder for My Most Typical Use Case

These days we make 95% of our coffee using the pour-over method for which the Ode is perfectly suited. I wish that it was capable of a finer grind for use with the Fellow Prismo AeroPress attachment, but otherwise I have no complaints. I seem to have pretty good luck keeping the chute clear and reducing fly-away coffee from static by remembering to tap the knocker a few times both before and after grinding. My theory is that the coffee that is left behind from the previous grind loses most of its static charge and falls out easily as long as one remembers to knock a few times before the grinding.

Affordable 2nd catch

Solid construction, good price. Nice to have when both my wife are coffee monsters. Sometimes we grind 6-8 times a day. She likes decaf (don’t get me started), so this helps keep gring integrity by swapping catches as needed!
