Organic and Incredibly Beautiful

I ordered these because they were so unique. None are shaped alike and each is very different from the other. Yes, these are hand made which makes me truly love them. Beware: the plates are so very flat that if there are any liquids on them, they might dribble off. Care must be used when moving them. I find that the bowls are a bit smaller than I am accustomed to which is perfectly ok with me because we eat such huge portions in the USA that we need to reduce our consumption. I have reduced my rating by one star because I had expected, and wanted, my new dishes to be very rust colored. Instead, they are more gold than rust. So the computer images are not true. Another caution: because they do not have a shiny glaze on them like lesser expensive ceramics, your utensils will make a scraping sound as you eat. That is not a concern for me because I truly love these dishes.

Beautiful and practical!

I love both of my "cloud" bowls. They are both conversational starters (e.g. How can they be porcelain and so sturdy? Why did they make the outside matte and the inside glossy?) and they bring joy every day--who wouldn't smile at the intentional asymmetry of the bowls, the cloud design on bright sky blue, and having breakfast cereal or snack bowls come with a story. I bought the breakfast bowl for my daughter so her early morning yogurt starts her day with beauty and I bought the dessert bowl as a snack bowl so I enjoy just the right amount of a snack in a bowl that reminds me to savor. Most of all, I appreciate that I was treated with the same care that Haand gives to restaurants that purchase larger quantities of their pieces. That is very special! (Plus the bowls may be porceilin but they are sturdy and don't mind the dishwasher.) The mark at the bottom lets me know that real potters and craftspeope made my bowls with care and love. Thank you! I absolutely love this piece. I purchased for snacks and dips but fell in love with the craftsmanship that I’m saving to replace my daily dish set.
