Jasika Blazer Pattern

Excellent pattern, accessible to a patient intermediate sewer

I haven’t done much garment sewing (primarily a quilter), but always wanted to make a blazer. I made a muslin first and was able to follow this pattern, it’s extremely well written and even includes preshrinking instructions for wool/interfacing! I went slow and got some help with fitting from someone who knew what they were doing, but was able to make an excellent finished product! Note the fabric requirements are conservative. Consider adding a quarter yard to give yourself a little breathing space.

Blazer envy :)

Lately I have been viewing the many RTW jackets available instore and online with an envious eye however as I had decided that I wanted several in the colour and cloth of my choosing, sewing my own would be the better option. After perusing the web for a pattern to fulfill that wish I spied the beautiful Jasike Blazer and after seeing the details and construction involved I decided it was definitely the jacket for me. Summer has come to Australia with all it's force now so the sewing part of the Jasike has sadly had to be put on hold while I await the cooler months to fulfill my blazer envy dream

I just completed my blazer and I am thrilled with the result. I took the class and the detailed instructions helped me make the perfect garment. I am going to make another one in red. Thank you Heather, for this excellent course.
