Gjetost

Fantastic!

When I was young, my grandparents always served a Norwegian dinner with all the fixings. One of my favorite parts of this tradition was the Gjetost cheese. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find it for years, but then I found that Wisconsin Cheese carries it. I placed my first order and was so happy when it arrived. Not only were they quick to ship, but it was packaged so well and the first taste of it brought a smile to my face and tasted exactly how I remembered it. I will definitely be purchasing from them again in the future. Thank you!!!

I dont know if i want to exactly say gjetost is an “acquired” taste, i think if you naturally like sweet and savory flavor profiles, then this is a great cheese for you. And ive found it definitely fits sweet very well, like brie. The norweigans love gjetost on waffles from what ive heard, so i tried it that way, totally recommend that for breakfast or a light meal or something. I persobslly love this cheese.
