the best except for one thing

Second pair from Shamma from a seasoned barefoot runner. These are really good after breaking in a bit. Looks classy and made from high quality material. Tested with a 3 miles run and sometimes the strap slips off, after a bit of adjustment and break in it worked great for the next 4 miles run. Still, elite is a bit more reliable for running, but I like this one for style reasons. Shamma's design and material really does seem to be better than competitors. My only complaint is they burn the strap for the toe plug, which gives their sandals a burnt plastic smell when new. This is strong and smells a bit toxic (I do have sensitive nose). But then, after using a bit it goes away so no long-term harm. For the toe plug I think Luna and bedrock are better. The burned plastic method is a bit primitive.

I got these because I want a comfortable, low profile minimalistic sandal. They’re pretty comfortable but adjusting the straps take some getting used to and I don’t think I have it fully set right after a week of playing with it. If it’s done right they’re really comfortable.

If they only stayed on. 😔

I love the sandals but I am considering returning them. The heel strap just doesn’t stay on and I’ve laced them over and over. I just can’t see paying an additional price for the leather strap to keep them on. They were pricey to begin with so paying more for them to merely stay on is just not feasible. Sorry. I wanted this to be a good review.
