I was in the market for a true Bluewater Flyrod for Tuna, Sailfish, and Marlin. I called a few of the premium manufacturers to discuss options. My last call was to T&T, where I was instantly connected with their saltwater expert. I had a few questions, one of which he wanted to pass by their rod designer. After a quick hold, I had all of my questions answered. This call and a few others to complete my semi-custom build were some of the best customer service experiences I've had in the last 20+ years. I felt as if I was in a time-warp taking me back 30 years to a time when manufacturers were real people who cared about and fought for their customers' respect and loyalty. In this day of rollups, consolidations, and the ensuing desecration of all things customer service, I might just have a new partner in fishing...thank you, T&T! I paired the rod with a masterpiece of a reel from another Great American company - Tibor (see photo). PS, the cork grip of the rod comes wrapped with a cool "cigar wrapper" sticker you see proudly adhered to my Tibor Pacific reel. Ultimately, the fish will tell me if this rod really meets the muster, but so far, I am very happy with the purchase.
