I had never heard of this evergreen shrub before. I love evergreen elements - except for the prickly needles and constant trimming and shaping. This bush solves both issues. The plant is not in the least prickly, and it shapes itself. My order of two bushes arrived in excellent condition. I planted them in our new berm the day after they arrived and even in the hottest part of the hottest summer I can remember, these beauties are strong and ready to go. I was honestly terrified because the berm is in sunlight at least 8 hours a day, and I imagined the bushes would shrivel up and die. But they aren't. I watered them in very well at planting, and I give them a deep drink every evening when the sun is behind the house and the bushes are in shade. I'm extremely happy. As a new gardener, it helps build my confidence to purchase quality plants from an outstanding nursery.

So far, the shrub is thriving. We are babying it a bit because of transit but it is doing well. Looking forward to seeing it when it matures.
