I started using these back in 92', I feel the design helps hold fish better by being a tear drop style and not a wide gap or big bite style hook. I have better hook up on hooksets with these as well. Unfortunately the only place I can purchase is from the Mustad website and they are out of stock often. I didn't use any other hook in 20 years of tournament angling. Black nickel finish, needle point hook and Mustad quality makes this the best option for bass angling
