The training paddle is great, time will tell if it will actually help me improve my hand/eye coordination. The paddle is very lightweight so it doesn't drive the ball like a full size paddle,I added lead weight all around the edge guard to get it up to 7.7oz and it now hits closer to what my paddle feels like. As far as it being a "factory second"I could not find any visible defects. Over all I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
