great pen. super simple, reliable design that does not give anything away in fidgetability. clean profile and finish. good weight and size. easy to grip. accepts many standard refills so you can request that it come empty ready for your favorite.

I have tried just about every pocket pen out there, and this is genuinely the best form factor I’ve found. Perfect length, no clicker to accidentally open, and the bolt actually works one-handed and doesn’t protrude so much that it’s uncomfortable in the pocket. Plus an outstanding price. A winner all the way around. Karas FTW as usual.

I have had several Everyday Kara’s Basiks and was excited to try the Compakt. It came with a small stamping hangover on the clip, but it came off with a bit of filing. The size is great, small and unobtrusive but big enough to write comfortably. It’s incredible these are $29 shipped.
