Perfecto! This is exactly what I needed to keep my extra pens & highlighters with my LOCHBY mini field journal, which I also LOVE. I color code everything, so keeping my extra writing utensils all together is crucial. I was worried the smaller one would not be big enough, but with 2 highlighters, a thick multi-color pen, & a backup pen - I even have extra room for erasers & extra pencil lead.

Looks like it has storage for 2 pens, but able to hold 5 of my fountain pens. Great for naking sur my pens dont get busted up when traveling.
