White Rice

To me it doesn’t immediately strike me as steamed white rice. HOWEVER, I love this scent regardless. It’s in the same family as Nishane’s Meant to be Seen, phlur’s Father Figure and a tiny bit of Ella K’s Musc K. The very modern and muted molecular scent with natural notes. Just wish the longevity and projection are stronger, but all the d’Annam scents I’ve tried so far are more on the intimate side, which makes them perfect for work and school.

This scent is DELICIOUS. I was unsure if I liked it at first spray but it grew on me fast- an hour in and I knew this was going to be a favorite. It starts off mild, a little earthy, and nutty- not as sweet as I expected it to be. It was less “creamy sticky rice pudding” and more “plain bowl of jasmine rice”. It warms up a lot on the dry down. On my skin it lasted a much shorter time but did become sweeter; on my clothing it lasted all day and was nuttier and more complex. Every whiff I’d catch from my shirt left me wanting more. This definitely feels like a beautiful cold-weather perfume; it’s so warm and cozy. I’ll probably wear it most in the winter.

Loved white rice but before i but I wanna try mango sticky rice. This is exciting this is my first rice fragrance and I’m really loving Dannam collection. Plus when it dries down it is lovely. My choices are Matcha soft serve, white rice or mango sticky rice. We will see!!
