Coffee Gift Subscription

Credit card for gifts recipients? No thanks.

I gifted my dad a 6-month subscription for Father’s Day, and I was very excited with the easy process—until my parents tried to redeem and were told they must enter a credit card number. As a gift giver, I really don’t want to force those receiving to enter a credit card—it feels kinda gross. On top of that, the amount I spent popped up when they tried to checkout for some reason, which I also don’t love. My dad, as the contentious boomer he is, did not want to enter is credit card number, and called the company directly. He was told that the credit card thing “is a glitch in the system and we can’t really help.” I hate leaving negative reviews, but I’m not happy with forcing a gift recipient to leave their credit card number. So far, the “easy process” to give a gift has been a hassle and is causing more work for me. I’m sure the coffee is great, but I don’t recommend Trade based on this experience.

I gifted my sister a coffee subscription because I loved it when I got a subscription as a gift: She was so excited because she loves a good cup of coffee and can’t wait to try other participating roaster’s offerings! Fantastic gift that she will appreciate for months to come.
