Ruby Pro 14mm

The best paddle I’ve had so far! Beautiful control and gives me the perfect speed and control I need. I tell everyone to get it! This is by far the best out of all the paddles I have bought. I love 6.0!

What happened?

I have been a huge fan of Six Zero. I have a Black Diamond, Double Black Diamond, a Pro Black Diamond, and a Ruby. All great paddles and have their specific place in my game. When I first saw and experienced the Ruby Pro 14. I was impressed. I am a spin player and use it to my advantage for sure. So the Ruby Pro with the crazy gritty surface was appealing to say the least. I waited a few months before ordering and when I received the Ruby Pro I was surprised! What happened to the famous grit? It’s not at all like the ones from a few months ago. And neither is the spin. Very disappointed. It is a good all around paddle but not ground breaking in power, spin, or control. I will likely send it back. Six Zero is a great company. But this one is not great.

My Fourth 6.0 Paddlle

This is my fourth 6.0 paddle. My first was the Double Black Diamond, which I liked a lot (good spin and reasonable power), but found that it degraded fairly rapidly (I'm guessing after about 125 hours of play). I then bought a Ruby, which I liked a lot, and when it degraded (after a reasonable period of time), I replaced it with another Ruby. As it began to degrade, I looked into other 6.0 paddles, and liked that the Ruby Pro purportedly was very "spinny." I have found that to be true, and believe that I can generate much more spin than I could with my previous Ruby paddles. Often, my opponents are grousing about the amount of spin that I'm able to put on the ball. I haven't owned it long enough to opine on how durable it will be, but after about 30 hours of play, I'm very satisfied so far. It has good feel, and reasonable power.
