I'm always hesitant about these types of products and this was no different. I even waited 6 months before ordering. HUGE MISTAKE!!! This is firm enough to hold me 6'1" 185lbs. Soft enough to cushion and not hurt pain points. My dogs took to this right away and now have ZERO issues getting up to where they couldn't because of old age/ arthritis. My dogs are now happier to "be with the rest of the pack" instead on on the floor in a bed. Unless it is the bed topper that came with the steps. I'm ordering another one right away!
