Where have my bees gone?

In 2023 we let the side yard produce all the dandelions it could so we could watch the bees and butterflies enjoy them. Once they moved on we then cut our lawn. The next spring we did the same but only a few of each arrived, enjoyed and left. Last spring we did the same and to our sorrow neither came back at all. We will do it again this spring with fingers crossed and hope in our hearts. We live in the interior of Alaska in the country and we miss our flying friends.
