Star-Mount MINI Explorer PRO Mount

Excellent quality. Wasnt expecting rubber mounted magnets. Powder coat finish is great quality and this piece is the best part of my overland build.

Looked good

The mount looks good. But was unhappy with the mounting. The flexible feet with a magnet are too short. So I had to tweak on the lower piece of the mount with the legs attached to it. I could of reversed the lower piece but then the mount would sit way to high and I prefer it to closer to the cab.. I also wish it had a quick release instead of needing wrenches to take the reciever out.

Excellent product!

This product was great when Starmount first introduced it. It is light and built to withstand the elements. Paired with their suction cup mounts, this thing will be hard pressed to come off your vehicle. Now they have released the PRO mount version with some wonderful extra benefits. The PRO is essentially the original Explorer mount but with an added bracket on the bottom. This addition bracket provides to additional features. The first is lowering the overall height of the unit when mounted on top of your vehicle. The second is you can reverse the suction cup mounts on the lower frame to be utilized to mount on the inside of a moon roof. And in case you unaware, you can remove the lower frame (to function as the previous model) and attach optional magnets or utilize the mounting holes to permanently mount/attach to whatever. This is by far the best mount yet that Star Mount has produced. If you're in looking for a solid built, weather resistant, versatile mounting system, look no further cuz you just found it!
