Easy to use and made the fit much more comfortable until the swelling went down then easy to remove for a comfortable tight fit.

I got my Prima-extender pre surgery and have worn it for about 3 weeks post op. I zips in easily and lays very smoothly under my t shirts. I am almost 4 weeks post op, single side mastectomy, no reconstruction, no tissue expander/spacer. I measured at 38" but the LARGE hugger fit me most comfortably. One thing I will note is that I have an area of skin that is hypersensitive around the edges of my surgery site (along the collar bone, sternum, base of ribs) that "feels things" more intensely. The first time I wore the hugger post op, I needed a small piece of soft t-shirt along the top of the bra/extender. But today, can wear it with no issues and no extra barrier needed.

The Prairie Wear HuggerPRIMA has been one of the best purchases I made for my post-op recovery. The compression is beautifully even across the entire garment, which made a huge difference compared to other bras that create pressure points or uneven support. The full-coverage design feels secure without feeling restrictive, and the band truly does not dig in - something that’s surprisingly rare in compression garments. What really sets it apart is the extender. Recovery involves a lot of changes in swelling and sensitivity, and the extender allowed the bra to adapt through every stage. Early on it gave the extra room needed when swelling was higher, and later it made it easy to gradually adjust the fit as everything settled. That flexibility meant I could keep using the same bra comfortably throughout the whole healing process instead of constantly switching sizes. The materials are soft, supportive, and clearly designed with real recovery in mind. It stays comfortable all day, provides reliable support, and feels thoughtfully engineered for post-surgical bodies. If you’re going through breast surgery recovery, the HuggerPRIMA - especially with the extender is absolutely worth it. Thoughtful design, excellent compression, and comfort that lasts through the entire healing journey.
