The Gulo GMX SL wheels are genuinely impressive. At only 1,040 grams, they feel exceptionally light and fast, especially when accelerating, climbing, or repeatedly changing pace on technical terrain. ​After some time on these wheels, they are absolutely amazing. Crazy light, but plenty durable even in some super chunky desert tech. They really help dampen small bumps well, but still feel like I can drive them through hard corners.

​I don’t have much experience in modern MTB. My old rig runs 26.5 with rim brakes. The Giant Anthem’s factory wheels are definitely bricks by comparison. I can say without a doubt these wheels are superbly responsive and solid feeling and the lightest I’ve ever ridden. They may be way more than I need (I’m not racing Leadville or anything) but just what I wanted!
