As Expected

I have short, wide feet and need the wide toe box; I've tried other brands and all too narrow (with no "wide" options). I've just received these shoes and have ridden with them only a couple times, but so far so good! Shoes look good and construction seems solid.

Sturdy Well Fitting Shoe...

The plusses: Well fitting shoe. I used the guide from the website to properly size my shoe and was successful in ordering a properly sized shoe. I was looking for a classic looking shoe similar to the vintage Italian made Detto's or the Vittoria 1976 Classic SPD. Features that fell a little short in my opinion: 1. Would have loved to have real leather uppers as an option. 2. Would have preferred round, waxed shoe laces. The flat ones do not adjust well in the small round holes of the shoe. 3. The 'breathable' holes have a liner wall behind them. Would have preferred actual holes. 4. The installations emphasize the use of a cleat spacer to protect the rubber bottom. For $300 a pair of shoes, would it have broken the bank to provide cleat shims with the shoes?

Shoe that fits like a glove

I have owned four pairs of this shoe, weaving them into my daily rides as they wear, and I love the wide fit to accommodate feet ruined by running! I use the Lake winter and cold weather boots for riding in Maine and Lake is the only brand I even consider. I prefer the lace tie-up with the MX21G and am glad Lake continues to offer this option. Great shoe!
