Fast, Fun and Addictive
Project S-11 is an addictive vertical shooter with smooth controls, fast-paced action, and impressive visuals for the Game Boy Color. Great level design and challenging gameplay make it one of the system's standout shmups.

Shmups are cool again
Picking up Project S-11 on the ModRetro Chromatic took me right back to those simpler times. I'm instantly reminded of sitting on the couch with my friends trading Game Boy Color cartridges after dinner. I didn’t expect much from this vertical shoot 'em up, but it stirred up some wonderful memories. The game itself is a genuine delight. You guide a sturdy little ship through eight colorful stages packed with alien swarms, collecting power-ups that feel just as satisfying as they did back then. The Chromatic’s perfect screen makes the sprites glow with that same vibrant charm I remember, while the chiptune music wraps around you like an old friend. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, and that’s exactly why I love it. Pure, honest arcade action without all the modern fuss. ModRetro has given this forgotten gem a second life, and at my age, that kind of nostalgic trip is priceless. Highly recommended.

Fun button masher
Growing up, Nemesis was one of my favorite horizontal-scrolling shooters on the Game Boy. Project S-11 feels like a vertical, full-color cousin to that childhood favorite. It's pure button-mashing fun, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves the scrolling shooter genre.
