I recently tried Dromme, and I genuinely enjoyed it. What stood out right away is that it actually feels like an alcohol alternative. A lot of non-alcoholic drinks end up tasting like flavored sparkling water, but this one has a little throat warmth and bite to it that reminds you of the sensation of a cocktail. It gives that small “zing” you expect when you’re winding down with a drink. The ginger flavor really shines. It adds a nice kick without being overpowering, and it makes the drink feel layered instead of flat. One thing I ended up loving was using it in my nightly tea ritual. I poured a small amount in the bottom of a coffee cup and then topped it with nettle tea. The ginger from the drink blended beautifully with the herbal flavor of the nettle and created a really calming, cozy evening drink. Overall, it’s a really thoughtful non-alcoholic option. It has enough depth and warmth to feel like a true alcohol replacement while still being smooth and enjoyable to sip. Definitely one I’d drink again.

Dromme Calm

I shared this delightful beverage at a house party mid January & everyone loved it! I was attracted to the vibrant label on the bottle which captured the essence of this elixir. As several guests had signed on the alcohol free January it was very popular. However, I have a question: why does the front of the label cite molasses but no molasses is listed in the Ingredient List? Maple syrup is one of the first Ingredients & as a proud Canadian (dual citizen) I was disappointed it was not featured properly. Molasses is derived from sugar cane & maple syrup from the sap of maple trees, an important distinction!
