I love the warm beautiful olive wood. It’s a knife that wants to be held. I bought this for someone as their first “real” knife when they started getting into cooking.

Beautiful and functional. These keep their edge better than any other knife I have. I was a kickstarter backer years ago and I bought several of these as gifts since. It feels great in your hand.

Bulat Chef Knife
finish on the handle was poor but soon rectified. Blade has been re edged left-handed 12/5 degrees 4000 grit and cuts beautifully. The steel is very good indeed rather better than Kramer-Zwillings stainless damascus. I suspect the overall finishing is reflected in the price but I was happy to make the final touches (2 hours at the bench) as I always have to as a lefty. Knuckle clearance is excellent and suits the large hand.
