MUNRO V2 MOUNTAIN JACKET

Hiking in the rain in Nangma Valley, Pakistan

First of all, the look: the Munro V2 is really smart in matt black. It is sleek and well fitting, with sufficient space for a fleece and underlayers. In fact, it is so attractive that my son who turns up his nose at most apparel wants one too! We had spent the night camping at Nangma Valley at an altitude of nearly 4000 metres. The jacket was fully windproof against the stiff breeze blowing from the glaciers at both ends of the valley. Descending the next morning, we were treated to a substantial downpour. Not a drop got through the jacket so I can vouch for its waterproofing. Moreover, having the underarm vents open meant that there was not stuffiness or condensation building up under that jacket. Finally, it is really easy to pack it in your baggage for travel. I had it flat in my suitcase and then in my rucksack. It takes up little space. I love this jacket and will be purchasing two more for my sons to take trekking in the autumn.

New Munroe V2

I really like this coat and wore it this morning for the first time. It did the job and stopped the rain and kept the wind out on my Sugarloaf hike. I went for the xl after alot of thinking. Happy with my choice. Lovely material and comfortable to wear. I will buy from Highlander again.

Perfect for me

Great jacket. The big thing for me when choosing this kind of waterproof is a decent hood with a good peak you can pull down at the front sides, not just tighten at the back. I wear glasses and need something to keep any driving rain off them. The added wire on the peak perfects it even further. Thank you
