I don't mind the weight gain.

The weight increase is significant due to the battery, but the finely adjustable extension buttons are quite excellent. There are a number of extension devices that have rear buttons and macro registration, but not many of them allow for macro adjustment. The ability to fine-tune and create macros using software is outstanding. The front trigger button is also easy to use. It comes with double-sided tape for fixing, but this is a bit poor.
