I owned a thermo plastics forming company where we vacuum formed and jig formed everything from defense articles, everyday carry items and fishing items (including dash cowels). I understand this is a quick solution to a need, but using 1/8-1/4” HDPE in my opinion is a design flaw. Thermo plastics deform under heat. Usually in keep my boat indoors but recently i had to keep it covered outside. I uncovered my rig and found my bubba pro attached to a severely deformed mount. Also, in my opinion, if there were an anodized or cerakoted aluminum version, i would buy it…at the significantly higher price point. Protecting a $300 investment is worth the $100-150 or so.
