Endless Stoppard Frame

Review from a beginners perspective

I’m still a beginner skater, but I have already used the Endless MK2, so I had something to compare the Stoppard with. The Stoppard feels more maneuverable and responsive to me. I was used to skating flat, so the rocker felt a little strange at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I really like it for tight turns, changing direction, and urban skating. Compared with the MK2, the Stoppard feels more playful and agile, while the MK2 feels a little more stable and predictable. The 84mm wheels also give me a nice balance between speed and control. Overall I’m very happy with the frame. As a beginner, I really enjoy the Stoppard and I’m glad I tried it!

The rocker is subtle enough that I'm fairly sure the "squishiness" of the wheels makes it so all wheels touch the ground. Being used to flat setups, I did not notice any added instability that I would find in a 2mm rockers. The skate simply feels much easier and faster to turn. As many point out, the frame is stiff and efficient. Let me add my humble analysis to help describe the feeling: while most frames are very stiff to vertical forces, they are obviously more flexible side to side. This frame feels more evenly stiff in any axis, which makes it feel particularly efficient for strong lateral pushes, especially when ending a stride on the front wheel, the most noticeable scenario being going uphill. Thankfully it doesn't feel to me any harsher than a regular frame on rough surfaces, since most frames are already very stiff in this regard.
