Super Sweet, Aromatic and Juicy
The Ojo Caliente is a very nice melon. Everything they say in the description above is true. It is very sweet and juicy. It has nuances of honey and floral flavors. The floral is not in a bad way, but rather refreshing. These melons are extra tasty cold. I was thinking these would make a really nice sorbet and definitely would be great as a melon fresca. They do take a long time to ripen, so plan accordingly for fruit in shorter growing zones. I planted these in late April, and I got my first fruits on September 1st. I will definitely grow these again, but I will plant more.
