I abandoned my Hawaiian coffee because of the cost and fears of mycotoxins and went back to Bulletproof beans. I couldn’t handle the bitterness and the quality seems to have gone downhill. I found biodynamic coffee which has great flavor AND low toxin AND reasonable price. LIVING THE COFFEE DREAM!!!

Objective review: flavor comes out as just ok.

While I really enjoy the medium roast (yellow bag), I was hoping this one would be a good fit as well. I read through the reviews beforehand, but after trying it myself, it just didn’t quite land for me. For my taste, it leans a bit too light on the roast and brings out more bitterness than I prefer. That said, it could also be influenced by my grind and brewing method. I primarily drink coffee as a pour-over using a medium-to-fine grind, so this is very much based on my personal setup and preferences. For context, I’m not a fan of fruity notes in coffee—I tend to gravitate toward richer caramel and chocolate profiles. This one works okay as an everyday coffee, but it’s definitely not a favorite, and I probably won’t purchase it again. I’m currently working my way through different coffees from Bio as I try to find a replacement for Sprouts Organic Dark Colombian (still my favorite, even though it has some downsides). It’s been a fun process overall, and I’ve learned a lot about what I really enjoy—and what I don’t—in a cup of coffee.

This was super good in my iced vanilla latte! It was very smooth and the beans were very fresh!
