Works.......but
Ok, yes, you can use the old fashioned 5-gallon bucket and honey gate to pour honey into jars. It works and is simplistic.....I have one and have done this. If you are having to do many jars (dozens), then the honey fill system is a welcomed system for sure. Yes, it is their entry model and works on simplicity of time to get to weight. There is where not all times will yield the same weight. What do you mean you are probably thinking???? Some honeys are a bit thicker than others so the weight dispensed with one set time will not yield same weight on another honey that could be thicker or thinner. So this is my PSA on this point. Does this system work and easily set up from the box? Sure is! Now to the filling. I like to manually perform rather than use a trial-and-error timing that the system can perform. I have a scale that I can weigh out until I hit my typical 16 oz (1 lb) weight of honey and know where that level is in the bottle to replicate each pour. This system sucks in the honey through the hose quickly and dispenses quicker than an old-fashioned 5-gallon bucket with a honey gate. This is where the speed fill system beats the old tried and true system for production against the clock. So where does this system get a negative from me???? CLEAN UP! Not as easy as I would have hoped for but not a deal breaker......just know it does not work like I had wish drawing tap hot water from a 5-gallon bucket through the lines and the turning wheels to clean it like I had envisioned. More like breaking down the parts you put together to set it up and cleaning with tap hot water to eventually get it clean for use the next time. Worth the money? Yes......just know it has a clean-up drawback! I would rate this system 4.5 stars but can't since increments of 1. So, it gets 4 stars. But I would buy it again.

speed fill mini
Arrived in good shape. Heavy and seems well built. Still a month away from honey harvest so no experience yet
