New regulator brought my Fuego Element back to life

My Element grill started to have a problem heating toward the end of summer, 2025. I tried cleaning everything - gas tubes, heater rings - with both degreaser and an air compressor. None of those treatments seemed to help, though periodic cleaning like that is a good idea anyway. I called Fuego Support and was connected to a friendly and knowledgeable human being. Based on the symptoms - grill started but gas failed to stay lit, especially in the center ring - the tech advised me to try a new regulator, as regulators are apparently prone to failure with age. I ordered, received, and installed the new regulator and voila - both my Fuego and I are happily grilling again. Kudos to the helpful tech that steered me in the right direction, and to Fuego for having the regulator available in their site's Parts inventory.

Works but was not needed

The regulator was easy to install and worked as it should. Before buying a new regulator, you should check the area where the gas burners slide into the gas lines. Grease and food particles had blocked the one burner, so the grill was only using one burner instead of two. I think that a small cover going over that area would be a great addition to a great grill. This would keep the area free of unwanted contamination. I placed a small tin foil cover over the area, and it seems to work so far.
