Effective
It splits the cake and looks good on the backdrop of my set up.

Solid knife but different from the picture.
The knife feels solid and works well. If you've got a tightly packed cake, this will get in there and break it up. Fair warning, it does look slightly different than the picture. But this is a solid tool and feels great in the hand.
