Failed Fuel Pump
Pump for 66 Corvair 110hp. Out of box, the first sign of trouble was the sealing o ring crumbled at my touch. Sourced and installed o ring, install pump. Note: New fuel tank, sending unit, two rubber hoses, complete flush of lines and two rebuilt carbs. Pump lasted 40 miles after delivering to customer, poor volume, little pressure. Customer asks to change to electric pump set up. Disappointed it failed so soon, have to pay for the tow, customer not happy.
