Ages "Rest Your Head"

the distro that Deathwish has put together – BANANANAS! so many different labels spanning all bunch of genres, and plenty of rare things trickle in from some supplier and you end up with things like this. a record i've wanted for years and was reputedly out of print and no new stock could be found anywhere online. then BAM: there it was and for less than six bucks, here it is

great ep, and while the recording was made into a slightly difficult listening experience because of it's haphazard master (very high gain output w almost zero headroom, an is untamed and processed in the sub 120Hz pass for an over exaggerated response), it actually worked out well as the starting material for whomever the vinyl mastering engineer was, as the cut low end becomes a punchy bass response. The high gain output is suitable without the same loss of dynamics as the digital files.
