An Affordable Gateway to Split and Ortholinear Layouts

If you’re curious about split (or Alice-style) layouts or ortholinear keyboards, I think this is one of the cheapest ways to get a genuinely good experience. I usually switch between a fully ortholinear 40% keyboard and a split row-staggered 75%, and the Israfel feels like it sits right in the middle of those two worlds. This isn’t a fully ortholinear keyboard, and the layout is a bit quirky in places. The Enter key, for example, is honestly a little awkward to use at first—but I’ll probably get used to it. Tweaking the layout to fit your habits, or sometimes adjusting yourself to the layout, is part of the fun with keyboards like this. Minor nitpicks - The included blocks are third-party compatible parts (That said, being LEGO-compatible is actually a nice touch.) - The LEDs on the leftmost column of the right half are flipped north–south (I’m guessing this is due to some implementation constraint?)

Fun to build and sounds amazing, missing 1U Shift

Fun to build and sounds amazing. The stabilizers were already lubed and tuned, so I didn’t have any ticking sounds. The linear switches are just right in feel and aren’t too light. The only issue is that a 1U Shift is advertised but not included :( Overall, I recommend.

the low profile alice keyboard

Loving the low profile alice layout. No too loud as my per usual keyboards i own. Layout is a slightly bit different so i need to get used to hitting certain keys especially during gaming. The only minor problem i had was that the spacebar for the left side kept getting stuck. So i removed the Stabalizer and now it works fine. I dont know why it didnt work with the stabalizer on, but thats okay its something minor. In the end i think this is a good keyboard.
