Soft and Free
Time will tell on durability but the fabric is soft and there seems to be sufficient cushion on the bottom. Even though they were free they don’t feel cheap.

Great Socks
The mens black Merino Protect socks are very soft, thick and stretchy. Some other merino sock brands are not as soft or as comfortable. The are a bit tight but the thickness is great for hikes or on your feet for an extended time
