Iris Box

This thing is really well thought out. Very easy to use. Seems very solid and well made, and frankly, fun to use. It adds a novel element to something as simple as opening a container. If I have any feedback, it would be to somehow lower iris toggle switch. I find that I’m opening the box on a counter top, looking down at it. The way I need to use the toggle, the fins are a little in the way when they deploy .

This is the second item that I've bought from Fiction Products and I've been pleased both times. I really enjoy the tactile experience involved in the Iris opening and closing. I also enjoy the attention to the packaging/unboxing experience - in this case 3D printed spacers/corner protectors that were also a simple puzzle to make a cube. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I did get a second blue Iris Box and, for that one, the open and close mechanism works just enough harder to require some intentionality around opening/closing, rather than the intuitive and easy open and close of my mint green iris box. To be clear, the blue one isn't bad, it just a 4 star box vs. the 5 stars I'd give to my mint green box

I love how my Iris Box looks on the counter. The cork bottom and the flip switch make it so satisfying to use. My daughter instantly *begged* to have the cube puzzle that came in the packaging - she uses it to keep her rocks in 😂
