Bought One Pair…Then Ordered Another
After ordering the Kincaid, I was so impressed that I didn’t hesitate to order the Sawyer as well. Same comfort. Same quality. Same attention to detail. The Sawyer has a different look, but the craftsmanship is every bit as impressive. From the leather and stitching to the fit, everything about this boot tells me HYER takes pride in what they build. One note on sizing: I normally wear a 10.5 EE, but I couldn’t get my foot through the shaft. Moving up to an 11 EE solved the problem, and the fit is excellent. That’s not a complaint—just something I think other buyers should know before ordering. I’ve owned Ariats. I’ve owned Double Hs. They’re good boots. But HYER has raised the bar for me. These are the most comfortable cowboy boots I’ve owned, and they’ve earned a permanent place in my rotation. I don’t recommend gear lightly, especially when it’s something I paid for myself. If I end up buying another pair—and I probably will—it’ll be my third or fourth pair of HYERs. That’s about as strong a recommendation as I can give.

Love em!
My first Hyer purchase was Jetmore back in April. I loved those so much I got the Sawyer in black. I’ve worn Lucchese for years and looked at those for a new pair after a long stretch of not buying boots. I stumbled on Hyer and recalled hearing about the maker when I was in the boot business back in the 80s and was intrigued by the history and new beginning and decided to give them a try. In short, I’m thrilled! I sold a lot of boots back in the day and would’ve sold more if I’d had Hyer on my racks! The comfort is amazing right off the shelf, the styles are very unique and the skins are top notch. My Jetmore quill pattern is fantastic! I’d be interested to know more about the last too. The manufacturing is solid. So many manufacturers are skimping using tacks in the arch instead of wood pegs. If they’re cutting corners in such an obvious place, where else are they skimping. And sales reps aren’t even educated on the boot making process so who knows what quality is missing when someone buys a pair of boots. I’m very happy with my Hyer boots. Next year I’m getting a pair of Russel’s! Never had caimans so I need to fix that!
