Rim weight ratio and durability
Choosing the correct rim weight ratio for athletes is paramount for maximizing their throwing potential. As a coach I was not as familiar with 4Throws discus compared to a Gill or a Nelco. I purchased your 1 K for a lady that throws 130’ plus. I chose the Max Spin for the rim weight and the fact that it has that quality edge. The edge is what really matters for a thrower. I appreciate the design of this discus. And, although it’s still new, I expect the plate will be as durable as other quality discs. I will find out as many landing areas where we practice and compete are at times suspect (small stones or sandy, soil areas) and it looks as though it can sustain a drop on concrete, or errant toss hitting the cage pole. Thus far I think this is a quality piece of equipment at a good price point. In the future I will purchase a 1.6 for a high school boy. We are also considering a Javelin to try as well. However as most know, not all school budgets accommodate a coaches’ desire. Thank you.

Very good
It came in on time—honestly, I think it even arrived a day early. The discus is very pretty, and it came with a lot of freebie items. I will say it’s very slippery at first, but once it’s hit the ground a couple of times, it gets better. I hope I throw well with it at regionals!

Wish I could give a review other than 1 star. Ordered last month, shipping was confirmed June 1st. So far it still hasn't been shipped. Reached out to the company via email approx. a week ago, no response yet
