Nebular has been on my radar for quite awhile, and I finally decided to order their Discovery Kit. I accidentally ordered the smaller sample set (thanks to toddler and new puppy distractions 😅), but Tobias was incredibly kind and quick to help me upgrade my order. That genuine level of care made such a wonderful first impression.
Before I even get to the fragrances… how generous is this discovery set? Four 5 ml fragrances for $68 shipped, plus a $34 voucher toward a full bottle. It gives you the chance to truly live with each scent instead of making a decision after one wear.
Nebular’s philosophy is that fragrance should take you somewhere, and after spending time with these, I completely understand what they mean.
SUPERNOVA was exactly what I hoped it would be. Sweet, sensual, and captivating. Neroli, orange blossom, marshmallow, cedar, amber, and musk create something that becomes more addictive every time I wear it. An easy year-round favorite.
AURORA completely surprised me. I’m not usually a gourmand girlie, but this feels so refined. Rum and sesame melt into honey, tobacco, cinnamon, and one of the most beautiful tonka notes I’ve smelled. Rich without ever becoming heavy or cloying.
ONE GALAXY may be the most fascinating fragrance in the collection. It transforms depending on who’s wearing it. On me, it’s soft and feminine, with rose and orris taking center stage. On my husband, it became something entirely different. He’s not a fragrance guy, yet his response was, “This smells like my best self… I can’t explain it.” I don’t think I could describe it any better.
HALO proved that a clean, laundry-inspired fragrance can still feel elegant. Fresh scents usually aren’t my thing, but this one is beautifully balanced.
Some discovery sets leave me knowing exactly which bottle I want. This one left me appreciating the entire house itself. That feels much rarer, and it’s exactly why I love discovering independent perfumers.
