The Saber - Serrated Uncapping Knife (Cold)

Great knife for uncapping honey frames. Nice long and flexible blade. Purchased to replace an old homemade knife I purchased many years ago from the now defunct Kelley Bees (they were swallowed up by Mann Lake which closed them down… a real shame) Was glad to find this knife being marketed by Hillco. The Hillco knife is just as flexible if not more flexible than the old Kelley knife and is actually a tad bit longer and comes with sheath..see the pic for comparison

I have used different techniques and tools to uncap honey over the years. I bought the saber knife and to be honest I was skeptical but man this thing is the cats meow!! It just shaves the cappings right off so clean and easy. Hands down the best $20ish dollars you'll spend on extracting equipment.

Never liked the knife decapping until i got this one

I’ve used knives to uncap, even a heated knife and never liked them. After getting this one, it is all I use now. Bendable and flexible so it follows the bulges in your frames. Really happy with this one.
